(This page is a work in progress. One of the primary goals of the revitalized U of G Debate Club is to promote debate competitions to the high school communities around Guelph that might not have had a chance to learn about debate before. We have connected with high schools to push for debate clubs along with hosting our own tournaments that these students can participate in which we will showcase on our website later down the line. Stay tuned!)
If you are a high school student interested in debate, we highly recommend checking out our Resources Page to learn more about it! The CUSID resources in particular can help in guiding students how to start a debate club and how to teach it to new members.
The University of Guelph Debate Club acknowledges that much of our work takes place within the Between the Lakes Purchase (Treaty 3); the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. It is recognized that the Anishinnabe and Hodinöhsö:ni’ peoples have unique, long-standing and on-going relationships with the land and each other and that the Attawandaron people are part of the archaeological record.
